BREAKTHROUGH by Pastor Paul Locke for loxland.com 12/06/2015
Storm is a situation where the thunder roars, lightning flashes, wind blows and circumstances seem out of our control when without shelter; but a time will come when the storm passes. During the storms of life is a time when we should focus on the Lord and not the circumstances and listen for the small still comforting voice of the Lord. (Job 33:14-18) I tell others that when a storm comes in my life I expect a breakthrough of mighty miracles when the testing is over. (Heb 12:10)
Depression of thought comes to those who focus on the circumstances not knowing the power and authority given to a righteous man. (Mtt 28:18-20) God uses desperation to direct the attention of man toward Him and so it will be in these last days. Righteousness comes when a man turns from his own ways to trust God for it is written, “God is faithful to forgive if you repent. He will deliver you from all unrighteousness.” (1Jhn 1:9)
Spiral downwards is a term used when describing an out of control aeroplane that is nose diving towards the ground and means the same when a person is headed towards hell. (Job 33:20) Love of money is the root of all evil and is the way the devil ensnares people. They rely on wealth and chariots to promote themselves to the world when they should humble themselves in the eyes of the Lord and He will lift them up. (Ps 20:7)
Laws are given by the world to prevent people from killing each other but the Law of God is given so that we may live. (Num 6:24) Christian breakthrough comes with the knowledge of the completed works of Jesus on the Cross whereby the Law is written on our hearts and the curse of the Law is broken. Love of God and each other is the self-test to see if we are truly in right relationship with Jesus. (1Jhn 2:3-11)
Breakthroughs today; choose whom you will serve, God or Satan. (Deut 30:19) It is written about Satan, “They overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” (Rev 12:11) You must confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and that God raised him from the grave and you will be saved. From out of our mouth comes the fullness of our hearts, so repent and be baptised into the name of Lord Jesus Christ.
