ANGELS IN MINISTRY by Pastor Paul Locke

The Evangelist must be able to tell others about Angels when they ask.  This subject is a drawcard for the lost who may make a decision for Jesus if you can answer them.  The Bible tells us that they are invisible spirits but can be seen when they choose to become visible to you.  The classic is when resurrected Jesus appeared as an angel to Saul on the road to Damascus as a bright light and Saul fell to the ground.  Those with Saul heard the sound but could not see anyone, the voice said, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” (Acts 9:4-7)  In the same way an angel appeared to Daniel like a vision. (Dan 10:7)

There are ranks of Angels; so for God the highest are Archangels called Princes; one is named Gabriel. (Dan 8:16)  There are angels assigned to churches and guardian angels protect others such as angels who minister to the heirs of salvation.  There are angels over territories, such as Michael the Angel for Israel, and angels come in all shapes and sizes. (Rev 4:7-8)  For example giant link angels were evidence to a witch that God was more powerful than Satan. (Dr Rebecca Brown)

Fallen angels are evil demon spirits that were thrown out of heaven with Archangel Lucifer; now the Devil. (Rev 12:9) (Is 14:12 KJV)  The NIV misinterprets “son of morning” which is midnight to dawn, darkness and Freemasons apply to Lucifer the Devil the title given Jesus “bright morning star”. These evil angels work for the kingdom of darkness and are assigned places and territories to exert authority, for example the “Prince of Persia” that the Archangel Gabriel and Michael fought prior to speaking to Daniel the Prophet. (Dan 10:13)  These demon angels can possess unsaved people, and oppress Christians who sin.

Baptised in the Holy Spirit Christians have power over Satan for it is written, “Fear God and resist the Devil and he will flee.” (Jas 4:7)  The Bible tells us that we are hedged by angels who protect us, and not to break the hedge or the serpent will bite us. (Ps 34:7)(Isa 5:5) (Job 1:10)  This is the reason Apostle Paul told us that if we do sin, so, be quick to repent.  Angels minister to us the heirs of salvation so we can expect food and help from them in times of need.  We have power in the name of Jesus to deliver people of demonic angels.

Satan’s agenda with the help of his fallen angels is “I will make myself like the Most High” and also says to himself, “I will ascend to heaven, I will raise my throne above the stars of God, I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly and the utmost heights of the sacred mountain…” (Isa 14:13,14,16)  Also those who see him will be surprised at how he was able to do so much harm and say, “Is this the man who shook the earth?”  So Evangelists know this that you fight for God against this agenda of Satan with weapons of warfare from God.  Winning souls for the Kingdom of God is gaining ground over the enemy who comes but to “steal, kill, and destroy.” (Jhn 10:10)
