FEARMONGERS by Pastor Paul Locke for loxland.com 13/04/2016 and YouTube
Enemies in warfare use fear to nobble their opponents by using tactics like Lord Haw Haw and Tokio Rose broadcasts.† Other methods include leaflet dropping from the air or video depiction of horrible acts of violence intended to rob us of faith. (Josh 2:9)† Frozen in fear is a term used by some writers to enhance the mind images of a story.† Fear is real and clearly seen in the paralysing effect of the lion roar on small shaking antelopes. †Fear is a spirit and used by the devil. (2Tm 1:7)
Propaganda is deceptive or distorted information that is systematically spread.† The devil does this because he is a liar and the father of lies. (Jhn 8:44)† Hitler had a Ministry of Propaganda to promote his World War 2 efforts.† Gossip is opposed to Christian teaching so the effect is a prime weapon to curse ourselves by speaking out against our brethren who are under Godís protection of Grace. (2Cor 12:9)
Worldly fear is promoted in messages without hope advocating self-preservation by building fallout shelters, hoarding food, or making war on our enemies.† The message of hope found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ is called escapism by infidels, but the Gospel is the way to receive Eternal Life. (Jhn 3:16)† Fear is sin and is cast out by repentance, so if we fear death and try to hold onto our lives we will lose it. (Jhn 12:25)
Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. (Prov 9:10)† The meaning of this is not being afraid of God, but paying attention to what He says.† The timeline of Biblical events is to show us that this is truth and there must be warnings or teaching for us to heed concerning life and death. (2Pt 3:9-10)† God would have it that none perish but all come to repentance, meaning to turn away from sin and go towards God.
Fear Not for I am with you, sayeth the Lord. (Hagg 2:4-5) Do not be afraid is the Angelic message on their appearances. Promises given to believers are to promote faith in our destiny to be lifted up to be with Jesus in the air at a time that is almost upon us.† On that day rescue comes before the flood, or the fire, or tribulation. (Lk 17:26-35)† Trust and obey, for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus and free of fear.
