GLAD GAME by Pastor Paul Locke for loxland.com 19/02/2016 and YouTube
Pollyanna is the fictional girl movie character who played glad games to change negative thought to positive thought. The effect her games had on those she contacted was inspirational. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is like this because it has supernatural power to turn doubt to faith. (Rom 10:17) This Gospel is called Good News or Glad Tidings by Angels that appeared to the shepherds tending their sheep by night. (Lk 2:10) The Christmas Carol ‘Joy to the World’ says it all.
Thoughts of past, present and future are in need of the Glad Game input. The past cannot be changed but useful for lessons providing you have already dealt with the past with repentance. (1Jhn 1:9) Tormenting negative thoughts from your past come from the devil, so rebuke him. The present time is action time when your future is determined so being glad is to know that God has a plan to prosper you. (Jer 29:11) What you do today determines your tomorrow.
Warrior or worrier? This is why we all need to play the Glad Game to align ourselves with the Word of God. (Rom 1:16-17) Compare yourself with weaklings in this world and be surprised how different you have become through your faith in Jesus Christ. (Rom 1:11) God often gives supernatural physical strength to some, for example, Samson but Spiritual strength is the weapon that accomplishes victory in the spiritual realm. Overcome evil with good.
Grace is undeserved merit from God given through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Rom 1:5) Be Glad that this Grace has been given to you who were an enemy of God until you received saving faith by hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Be Glad for those believers who are living under God’s Grace and know that we are all on a journey to perfection. (Col 1:28) Sinning is part of the journey so if you do sin be quick to repent.
Overcomers are those who are given the right to ‘eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’ (Rev 2:7) Be Glad that you are Born Again and given power to overcome the devil, for it is written, “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” (Rev 12:11) This is Good News so be Glad you are in the family of God.
