Hearing is the gift that denotes ability to receive input and this is why Jesus said he with “ears let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the church.” (Rev 3:22) The efficient way to learn and retain information is using the gifts of a whole body. The ‘eyegate’ and the ‘eargate’ are initial tools for education which are re-enforced by speaking out and writing down what is learned. (Hab 2:2) The Bible tells us to then run with the revelation and apply it to another time.
Voice is the method God uses to convey messages to mankind. The Prophets hear and then tell, prefacing their output saying “This is what the sovereign Lord says.” (Amos 3:7) Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice,” or “Because you are unable to hear what I say, you belong to your father the devil.” (Jhn 10:26-27, 8:43-44) The still small voice that Jesus uses to speak with us can be felt and heard when we are in the receptive mode. Jesus tells us that we are to pray in our prayer closet.
Adverbs modify to better describe situations like the case of God speaking; sounds like thunder or rushing waters. (Rev 14:2) At the time of the ‘rapture’ uplifting of the Church the sounds we are to listen for is the Trump of God, and the voice of an Archangel. (1Thes 4:16) Later the heavenly choir is singing praise to God and to the Wedding Supper of the Lamb that sound like “a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder.”
Word output speaks of faith that comes by hearing the Word of God. (Rom 10:17) The Gospel of Jesus Christ when preached is the power of salvation to those who believe. (Rom 10:14) The duty of all Christians is to preach the Gospel and like Apostle Paul become all things to all men in order that some may be saved. God would have it that none perish but all come to repentance. Preach the Gospel in season and out for this is the will of God.
Tongue has power over life and death so negative words permit Satan to act on earth. (Num 14:28 & Prov 18:21) When we utter the name Jesus; the power name of God we release Ministering Angels to do our bidding. (Mtt 4:6) For at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. When two or more are gathered in my name (Jesus) there I am in their midst and whatever they ask in my name my father in heaven will give it to them.
