TIME TO SOW by Pastor Paul Locke for loxland.com 8/04/2016 and YouTube

Springtime is when flowers begin to bloom that reminds me of the singing cowboy Roy Rogers singing ‘When its springtime in the Rockies’.  Wildflower seed is scattered by the wind and birds then other seed particularly food seed must be planted by man. (Gen 3:19)  God has appointed seasons as a time plant and then harvest seed in order and referred to as ‘seedtime’ and ‘harvest’. (Gen 8:22)  God provides seed to the sower, if you have no seed then you have not asked God.

Desperate people eat their seed, and then have no seed to sow which is seen as a curse. God has applied the rules of ‘sowing and reaping’ to the righteous (Mal 3:11) and the unrighteous. (Gen 4:11-12)  If you want to eat, then you have to work is a rule God applied to mankind.  The quality of the harvest is dependent on if you sow back to God his one tenth (net).  Good soil determines an abundant harvest, so you must determine where the good soil is to sow into.  God will tell you if you ask.

Lessons in life are given by God to enhance lifestyle if you apply the wisdom to yourself. (Prov 1:7)  Meaningless existence is the path of the unrighteous and God would have it that you are gifted with love, hope, and charity so that you can live life to the full. (1Cor 13:3&13)  Gifts of the Holy Spirit confirm to yourself that you are a new creation through seeding by baptism of the Holy Spirit, and this seed bears the Fruit of the Spirit as a sign to others of your standing with God.

Seed of the Gospel is sown into the hearts of men that supernaturally produces ‘Saving Faith’ (Rom 10:17), however the devil steals this seed when the hearer misunderstands it. (Mtt 13:19)  World harvest is a time when God separates the sheep from the goats.  This time is preceded by a great outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit like on the day of Pentecost.  Evangelists who sow to please the Spirit will reap eternal life.  Destruction follows those who sow to please their sinful nature.

Nisan is the first month of the Jewish Sacred year calendar (Ex 12:1-2) that begins 9th April 2016 a time that coincides with previous outpourings of the Holy Spirit.  The last month of the past year was Adar 1 however we must add another 28 days to last year because Adar 2 an extra month is called leap month will occur.  This suggests that in this Jubilee year the leap month is very special implying a double portion of the Holy Spirit will actuate a great harvest. (Amos 9:13)
